Online Yoga Classes


Peter is now offering online yoga classes to help you keep up your yoga practice.

We all know how the yoga keeps us healthy physically, mentally and emotionally especially during stressful periods of our life.

We look forward to seeing you online!

 

Please read through this page before booking your class - it looks like a lot to read, but it will help you have a smooth experience on getting to your online class. It is a straightforward process, and you will be guided through all the steps.

Everyone is welcome to attend any of the classes. For more experienced students, you will still gain a lot from polishing up your basics, and concentrating on your breathing and if you’re not so experienced, give the level 1-2 classes a go – and everyone just remember what we always say, only do what is suitable for you and how you are feeling on the day.

Peter is also offering private 45 minute yoga lessons. These are ideal if you want go over anything you’d like to work on to refine and develop your yoga practice to a deeper level.
Or, you can use this class as a yoga therapy session if you have any problem areas you would like to concentrate on.

   All times shown above are in Australian Eastern Standard time (Sydney time).

 

How it works

1. Select your class

Click on the Free, Single class or Weekly wording on the timetable above, under the day and time as required.

You can book your spot anytime for the next 7 days but at least 1 hour before the class starts.
Don’t leave it to the last minute as we won’t be able to organise everything in time.

 

2. Registration

When we receive your booking email or purchase notification email, you are then registered for the class, and you will receive an email 15 minutes before the class start time.

If you sign up for the weekly unlimited pass or direct debit membership, you will be sent an email for each class that week. You don’t need to let us know if you are or are not attending. Just ignore the email if you are not attending.

 

3. How to join the class online

The email will contain a link which will take you to the Zoom meeting site.
The first time you do this you will see instructions to download the Zoom software onto your computer, or, if you are looking at your email on your phone or tablet, you will be asked to download the Zoom app.

The software and the app are free.

Follow the instructions on-screen. You must enable sound access, otherwise you will not be able to hear Peter. We also recommend that you enable video so that you can see Peter and he can see you.

This will take a few minutes, so be sure to allow yourself time to do this before the class starts.

This only needs to be done one time – once you have the software or the app set up, then the next email you get, when you click on the link you will be taken straight to the yoga class meeting space.

 

Decide how you want to follow the class, e.g. by computer or phone/tablet/TV and get the Zoom software set up on that device.
You can set up the Zoom software on all your devices if you want.

 

4. Preparation

Prepare an area for yourself so that you have some space to move around and still see the screen.

If you have a mat, use that but carpet or floor boards are ok!

If you have any props that you want to use, have them handy. A towel or blankets are useful to sit or lie over in place of bolsters. Also remember that you can use a stool or firm chair to sit on if you don’t have any alternatives to bolsters or blocks to use.

 

5. At class time

When you get to the yoga class meeting space, just wait and settle yourself down, like you would at a normal face-to-face class.

Peter will see that you are there, waiting in the class meeting space.

Once the class starts, Peter will mute everyone’s audio so that you can hear him but he or others can’t hear you or any of your background noises!

At the end of the class, Peter will unmute the audio, so that you can ask questions, or you can sign off the class meeting to finish the online session.

 

6. Release of Liability

Please read through the terms and conditions of attending one of our yoga classes. Please remember to only do what is suitable for you and how you are feeling on the day.

I confirm and agree that the following terms, conditions and undertakings apply to the yoga exercises and training to be provided to me by the Central Coast School of Yoga (CCSY).

a) I have been examined by a licensed medical practitioner within the past 6 months and have been found to be able to perform the yoga exercises that I am to perform during my classes with CCSY.

b) I will faithfully follow all instructions given to me by CCSY and its teachers as to when, where and how to perform the yoga exercises.

c) I agree and acknowledge that participation in any yoga exercise could constitute a risk of serious injury to myself including permanent paralysis or death. I acknowledge that neither CCSY, its owners, teachers or employees shall be, nor be deemed to be responsible or liable (whether in contract, or in tort or under any statute whatsoever), for any injury, illness or mishap I sustain arising from or out of,or in any way directly or indirectly connected with the yoga exercises.

d) I understand and acknowledge that I am able to receive instruction in yoga exercises and theory only. CCSY, its owners, teachers and employees are not liable for, nor expected to provide any advice, training or medical assistance other than in the form of the yoga exercises.

e) I indemnify and will at all times hereafter well and sufficiently indemnify and keep fully indemnified CCSY, its owners, teachers and employees from and against all actions, suits, causes of action, proceedings, claims, costs and expenses whatsoever which may be taken or made against CCSY, its owners, teachers or employees in connection with or arising out of any such injury, illness or mishap to me.

f) The tuition paid by me under this enrolment form to CCSY is non-refundable. CCSY may in its sole discretion grant refunds to me without prejudicing any of its rights.

2. Purchase your class

Peter will see your payment and will then register you for the class. You will receive an email 15 minutes before the class start time.

Not comfortable with paying online?

It's not a problem.

Please email us with your name and the class time you want to attend, or the day that you want your weekly unlimited pass to start, and do a bank transfer of the fees.

When we receive the payment, we'll let you know and will register you for the class.
